1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E

Another gem in our collection, a perfect-condition example of this rare super sedan.  If you're reading this, you know how rather special these cars are. 500E has a cult status today as the ultimate ‘sleeper'.  It was engineered by Porsche, and hand-assembled on their 959 production line in Zuffenhausen, to standards higher than even Mercedes-Benz could manage. With only 10.479 cars built, it's already considered a bona fide classic.

 

This particular 500E is made even more special by two things.  First, its fantastic original condition, due to the super low 78.000 kms.  The car is mechanically flawless, with strong engine, silky transmission, tight suspension and steering.  All three engine wiring harnesses, as well as the electronic throttle actuator (a known W124 problem area) have been replaced with new updated versions.  Second, the car comes in very rare and fetching colour combination (most 500E were delivered in black on black, or silver on black).  The interior in cream leather is wonderfully preserved, and feels light and airy.  The exterior colour enhances the timeless Bruno Sacco design and the subtly muscular lines.  The yellow fog lights (the car is a French-market specification) are a cherry on top.

The car comes with OEM 16" alloy wheels, as well as 17" Evo II forged wheels (at extra cost), original Becker Mexico stereo, and the original sales booklet.
